Costs of applying

The application itself is not free. It will cost you a significant amount of money to gather the information and make the right choice.
Here is the budget I had for myself:
 
Don't forget to treat the alumni you talk to. A coffee is always appreciated ;)

  • Trips / visits             $2,500  twice 
  • GMAT preparation     $1,500   once
  • GMAT exam             $200   once
  • TOEFL exam            $180   once
  • Application fee         $200   5 times
  • Fedex                     $50   5 times
  • Consulting (essays)  $1,200   once
  • Others (books...)     $500   once
  • Total (5 schools)      $9,830
